Yes, because through diagnosis, the individual’s condition will be classify into separate and distinct categories that allow the medical decisions what sort of treatment and prognosis are needed. Other details regarding diagnostic procedure are as follows:
- The detection of any deviation, known as normal – this will measure the patient’s current condition compared to those who are normal.
- Complaint expressed by a patient
- The indication to perform diagnostic procedure, like watching patient from waiting room before or has started to present any complaints.
Even in the ongoing diagnostic procedure, there can be an indication to perform another diagnostic procedure and this may occur as a result of an incidental finding of sign unrelated to the parameter of interest and as radiological studies like magnetic resonance imaging or blood test panels.
