Another medical term that I will mention here is the Oxygenation. What do you discern regarding this term? At first, maybe some will think or sense this term as it is used to treat the lungs or the respiratory system. However, to gives us exact information in this regard, let us consider the following details that I will mention here base on one reference.
The term Oxygenation (the opposite is called de-oxygenation) takes place when oxygen molecules enter the tissues of the body and this is commonly used to refer to medical oxygen saturation. Like for instance, the blood is oxygenated in the lungs, where oxygen molecules travel form the air and into the blood saturation.
This method is significance to maintain oxygen saturation values between 96 percent and 99 percent. If a person’s oxygen saturation value is below 90 percent, this will usually causes hypoxemia and anemia. How do you understand the expression hypoxemia? Hypoxemia was resulted due to low arterial oxygen saturation. The oxygen is more readily released to the tissue level when pH is decreased and byproduct of glucose metabolism will increased. However, through oxygenation, pH will increase and oxygen binding to the hemoglobin will increase and it limits the release of the oxygen to the tissue.
